The much anticipated launch of the Silva Tree biomass fund has unfortunately been postponed pending a tax opinion from the Panamanian authorites. This week sees the shipment of equipment from the US to Silva Tree's new onsite micro-propagation laboratory in Panama. The new lab will allow Silva Tree to develop seedlings onsite.
Final Shipment of Seedlings Arrives from the US
More seedlings arrive at Silva Tree's Chepo plantation. This latest batch represents the last shipment from the US before Silva Tree starts to produce its own seedlings through the new onsite laboratory.
Equipment For Silva Tree Lab Due for Shipment
This week distilation units, test tubes, meters, pumps, computers and microscopes make their way out from the States to the new Silva Tree micro propagation lab in Panama allowing Silva Tree to develop its own seedlings on site.
Launch of Biomass Fund Pending Tax Opinion
The highly anticipated Silva Tree fund for biomass has been unfortunately delayed pending a final tax opinion from the Panamanian authorities. Launch of the fund, however, is expected during the autumn.
